About
Welcome to JTW. My name is Andrea-Lynne. I am the owner and founder of JTW telehealth practice. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with more than a decade of experience treating many types of mental health issues. I received my degree in 2012 from Southern Connecticut State
University's Master of Social Work Program. I became a licensed clinical social worker in the state of Connecticut in 2014. Since that time, I have worked in a variety of inpatient and outpatient settings. Besides my work in hospitals and with home care agencies, much of my work centered around hospice, end-of-life care, and preparing patients and families for end-of-life.
Although I love working with patients and families as they prepare for this phase of life, I also began to realize that there were other parts of life that were just as difficult and challenging to a human being. Whether that be a chronic condition, life transition, or a situational stressor, the struggle for normalcy and balance is real. This is why I began JTW telehealth practice. I'd like to help you to achieve your best life through my professional experiences as a clinician.
I am a writer, having authored a thesis, "Dealing with the Aftermath: Social Workers Coping with Client Suicide." I have contributed to multiple articles, journals, and blogs on topics ranging from the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic on the mental health of Americans to perfectionism and its link to depression.
When not working in a professional capacity, you can find me spoiling my dog, Willow, riding my horse, Phoebe, or playing with my Persian cats Monroe and Little Pea. My interests are nature, gardening, and creating my dream of a home on a small farm in Connecticut. I look forward to working with you and making your dreams come true.
